ATD Feature on NatWest Bank's Business Hub
23/07/2021
ATD has used NatWest for their business banking since the business was set up in 2000 by Brett Townsend. ATD was assigned NatWest's Senior Relationship Manager, Gary Stockley, who has supported the business ever since, helping us grow to a multi-site operation employing 140 people. NatWest invited ATD to feature on their Business Hub website, highlighting the benefits of a supportive working relationship between business and bank.
Brett's strategy for maintaining growth has meant continuously stretching the business and regularly coming up with solutions for brands. This approach does carry risks and financial pressure, but Gary recognised ATD's potential from the beginning. Gary said "ATD's ability to diversify into multiple sectors has been instrumental to its success, coupled with Brett's long-term thinking. Under his leadership and structual problem-solving, the business has gone from strength to strength."
When ATD were embarking on a challenging project for luxury car manufacturer, Rolls Royce, it required some financial investment. John Sandford, ATD's Finance Director, said "We've built up our relationship with Gary over 10-12 years so it was natural to turn to him. He's always been very suppportive, has introduced us to his connections and given us the heads up on grants."
